£25k?? 300BHP 320lbs torque? That's got to put one hell of a fly in Subaru's ointment!

New shape STI or RS? RS everyday of the week for me

It looks like a total hooligan on the road

A certain amount of pre-launch hype in that video. He fails to mention how shocking the piano black plastic bits look in real life (the rear diffuser looks like a fisher price piece).
He also mentions that the car just will not understeer where the video clearly shows the car understeering across the road in the last clip.
Looks like it'll be a fast and popular car but I wouldn't have one. The ST is a Scooby beater when it comes to fuel consumption and I can see the RS doing less than 20 mpg.
I can't see where Ford are going with this one , they should have gone down the same road as Renault with a lightened, sharp handling track car instead of a bloated overpowered ST+.

I was told (maybe incorrectly) that the £25k is for the basic spec in white.
A fully speced one in metallic paint is supposed to be £29k+

stonking looking motor in white. looks aggressive, sounds aggressive and looks like it's pretty aggressive on the road. tbh the last of the understeer could most likely be dialed out with a good geometry setup.

wish i had the money to get one.

Vicki meets Charley Boorman for some four-wheeled fun, Jonny familiarises himself with the Honda Insight's green credentials, and Tiff indulges in a classic shootout featuring some hot hatches from the 1980s. Also, Jason zooms in on the Ford Focus RS, Jonny tries to make a quick buck from a rust bucket at an auto-parts jumble sale, and Tim reviews speed-camera alerting systems.

I've heard that as well. Not sure if that'll be affected by the price rises Ford recently announced either
A seriously nice looking car, though it'll be 10 years of more before I can afford a second hand 1

The fully spec'd RS will be closer to £30K which will put it in the same bracket as the 330BHP 346.6lbs torque AWD Impreza WRX Sti 330S.....

I agree, I just wanted to strangle him with that scarf. The review on the Autocar site is much better. Can't wait for Drivers Republic to do a proper test on it.

I'm sure Clarkson will do a number on it too in the next Top Gear - Poweeeeeeeeeeeeeeerrrr!!!!
