Exhaust heat wrap
As the scoob is staying (yet again
) I've decided to keep it as a toy with track days and Drag racing (the quarter mile kind, not crossdressing before you lot pipe up
) in mind.
I'm going to take the exhaust manifold off to port and polish it, as well as putting a better up pipe on. While it's off I will be heat wrapping it.
I've found a place in Laindon that specialises in supplying the petro-chem industry with heat wraps and I bought 10m of 2" wrap 3mm thick for £15, this is suitable for 600 degrees C, but can supply 1000deg wrap!
The guy is a decent bloke and already sells a fair bit to Cosworth owners, so I thought I'd let you lot know and share the "secret"
