Forza 2 giveaway #9 - Winner takes all with a difference
So, theres 30,000,000 credits up for grabs and no-one has to race anyone, lol.
How does that work?
Simple, theres a scoreboard and it looks like this at the moment:-
2138 - RB5 286
3177 - p1 342
3226 - wrxdazza
5412 - BR1AN ESC
7013 - Milamber ESC
12344 - baz69birds
45711 - ScoobyBudge
This is the overall Hot Lap scoreboard. Every hot lap (FREE RUN) you do brings your overall position on the scoreboard down.
If you havent done a track with a certain class, it affects your score badly. You can check your own Hot Lap scoreboard by looking on XBL or from FM.net.
Now, the competition...
Whoever finishes in the highest position wins! People at the end shouldnt be concerned they have low positions, they soon get better after a few races have been put under your belt.
So, if you havent run a certain track in a certain class, you need to find out which ones you havent done and puts some laps in. Then go onto the next one. This will push you up the leaderboard quite quickly.
Competition ends in 2 weeks(ish): End date, Sunday 24th @ 11:59pm.
One winner, one prize, 30,000,000CR

Each track for each class starts out giving you a time of 30 minutes for each one. That is why your time is so high when you first begin the game. I think your total time before ever hopping into your first car is 200 something hours, been a while, can't remember. So then you post your very first hot lap time at let's say Road Atlanta, A class, and run 1:20:5. That's a difference of 28 minutes and 39.5 seconds, so 28:39:500 would then be subtracted from your overall time. In the future if you were to run a faster lap then that, then the difference would be subtracted from your total time.
i dont think test drives count though. free runs are best as no damage or tyre wear etc....
ps: make sure you are logged into live as well!!! as they only register at end of each session.
if that makes sense.

Cheers Dazmondo, how does that equate to a hot lap time of 7013 for me then? what does the 7013 represent? 70 hours 13 m

no just means you probably have a few 30 min laps on certain tracks in certain classes, thats all.
im not sure how the number relates, i'm sure its your leaderboard position against the time....
ie your exact world placing !!
but i stand to be corrected

The 7013 is a position in the world, so if someone else beats their time or runs a track they havent run before they could in theory jump ahead of you, hence you go down.
The trick with this comp is to find the tracks/classes you have NEVER run, so you make the biggest jumps in the LB positions. Like Dazza said, if you are scored on a track you have never run, you get awarded a 30min lap time, which is obviously high, if you run it and do the lap in 2mins, your LB position is altered by the difference, ie 28mins.
Stick to the tracks you have never run in a particular class and you will jump up the leaderboard quite quickly. I noticed my position jumped approx 100 places for every 3 races i completed that i hadnt run before. Dont worry too much about setting your fastest lap, just get a lap under your belt.
