How fast.....
....can a scooby take a roundabout?
Only asking cos i was driving home the other night and spun out at approx 60mph.
NEW tyres on car, low profiles so shudda stuck to road more?
BTW, no damage on car, spun into a grass verge with no kerb, lucky for me!

Depends on lots of things TBH.
Have managed several roundabouts @ 60+ in the spec'C' BUT as you mentioned NEW tyres i feel thats where the prolem is. How many miles had these done?

Second hand they would have been good for the money as a stop gap, but depending on what you paid you made a mistake buying them new over steve's. Assuming your alignment is good which I bet it far from being so, they are a poor choice when buying new. At 80-90 quid a corner the Vredestein Sessantas would have been much more rewarding. An aggressive 60 on a roundabout is bound to end in tears though.

another thing to think about are the geometry setup on the car. if standard then that will effect things. the road may have had something on the surface to make it slippery etc. also the biggest factor is driver talent or lack of in a lot of cases. me being one of them.
but as above 60 round a round about is a bit naughty on a public road. will make sure i'm indoors before 10 tonight

Think you have all missed the obvious, i.e. running out of talent.
Scoob's are inherently easy cars to drive fast, but they still need skill to drive at and beyond the normal limits of adhesion.

You tell him that when he has wiped out a member of your family. Sorry but that is just stupid on public roads. I still nag Tiny when he drives to fast even in my car. Cant help it, the words " Will you F**KING slow the F**K down" just jump out of my mouth how ever much I try to stop them. And I must get that brake working in the passenger side too.

Yep you can do what you like as long as nobody else gets killed while you are doing it. It seems that it wont matter if you kill yourself.

If you stack it and police do an investigation (which would be normal proceedure) they may charge you with dangerous driving / driving with undue care and attention. The insurance company may decide not to pay out. Rightdully so imo.
Which roundabout was it?
