lightweight flywheel on an ra box would be fine. my bet is it'd be great fun. loved my ra. only downside to the short ratio box was the fuel consumption on the motorway. 5k revs at 70 - 80 mph

It is recommended to run a uprated forged flywheel when using a cerametallic clutch.

Default flywheel

I had a roger clarke lightweight flywheel on mine ra v2 problem was that made the gear changes even shorter and had to have reflex like a JEDI. lol

and even more noise on motorway, now has a skimmed flywheel,
JJ

That would be a great price for an uprated forged flywheel.

Are you sure it's not just a "lightened" one?

wouldnt recommend fitting a paddle clutch unless you guys are gonna be pushing some serious bhp,its totally not needed and will make your clutch harder to control especialy if you get stuck in a traffic jam!

also kevin mr ckutch in chelmsford will supply a standard exedy clutch to a classic for less than 550!!

just my views people

I can fully recommend BOB's though. Dad got his uprated exceedy (3 piece kit) and a lightend flywheel (6.3kg) for a cracking price and delivered next day. great service

Just to add the guys at mr clutch fitted it for a cracking price too

Totally agree - paddle clutch is great fun for a track car - but not ideal when driving round town or popping to Tescos - the novelty factor would wear off pretty quickly!

the fly wheel is second hand but was on the car less than a year the only reason for the flywheel up for grabs is the man has a six speed box fitted so no need for the flywheel which cost him over 400 i think,i can find out the make of the fly wheel tomorrow.
