The recirc part should still be there also, rear of engine blanked off, fit the recirc valve into the FMIC pipe work then connect to the existing (once blank removed) pipework.

As mentioned above i've got a standard one in the shed for the early model. Want a deal on the vta? To plum it in you run the pipe from where it is now to the recirc. then out of the other side of the recirc to the off take on the inlet. It's the one with the small bung in just above the group of blue vacum tubing.

so will this stop the pops and bangs out the back it does run alittle rich cause when i had it in for mot it was showing it was running alittle rich will this bring it down to normal levels, i see what you mean now on how to run the recir valve starting to make sense,is that the best thing to do to have a recir valve rather than run nothing at all, also last owner must of had some sort of remap done cause ive had the car for over 3 years now and aint had no problems with the engine touch wood

Should be fine mate, but longevity isn't an accurate measure of being ok. It would be prudent to match your mods to a revised map not only for fuel mix but also the lag !
As a rule, re-circ is the best option and yes it will remove pops and bangs on gear changes, lift off.
