Default Scuba Try Dive - Sunday 22nd November

SUNDAY 22ND NOVEMBER 11.30am

So then who fancies trying out Scuba Diving at a local Dive centre In their nice warm swimming pool ??
I think the cost is just £12 – will confirm this,
Will sort out dates etc when have some interest!

Kids over 10 and Adults welcome – Just put your name down
If you want anymore information just ask!
Why Discover Scuba Diving?
The PADI Discover Scuba Diving program lets you experience the thrill of diving under the supervision of a PADI Professional in pool or pool-like conditions. During your adventure, you'll master some basic concepts and scuba skills and might even head off to experience an open water adventure.

What do I need to start?
  • Minimum age: 10
  • A completed and signed Discover Scuba Diving brochure
What will I do?
When you participate in a Discover Scuba Diving program, you discover excitement and adventure - freedom and serenity. Nothing compares to the "weightless" exhilaration of breathing underwater. Only a diver knows the feeling!

How long will it take?
Get ready to dive today. Whether you watch the short PADI Discover Scuba video, or are briefed with the Discover Scuba Diving Flip Chart, you'll enter the water quickly and ready for your scuba adventure.

What will I need?
  • A sense of adventure
  • Discover Scuba Diving brochure
Where can I go from here?
As soon as you Discover Scuba Diving, you're on your way to an internationally recognized certification. That's because you may learn skills used in the PADI Open Water Diver course during your Discover Scuba Diving adventure. If you and your instructor elect to practice these skills, they may be credited toward the PADI Scuba Diver or Open Water Diver certifications.

3) Mark B4
4) Eleanor B4

Lin - just a couple of questions - thought I would ask here as the answers / info may assist others.....

I thought I read on the last thread for diving those taking part should wear tshirt & shorts over swimming cossie? Am I correct?

I have printed of the form - am I correct in thinking I only need the GP consent if there are any medical issues?

Finally (you'll be pleased to know) can you bring the leaflet / details of where we need to go to the Lodge on Thursday.

Thanks, on behalf of Coz!! x

Some one has to earn the pennies

Some medical (not serious) issues are ok in the pool, but should you have some condition/s or take medication on a regular basis it will have to be signed off should you wish to do the actual Padi Course.

Thanks to Lin & Steve for organising this Coz really enjoyed it and would be up for it again I`m sure.
The instructors were funny and very professional obviously enjoying their work.
If anyone has the slightest inclination towards taking up diving I would certainly recommend this course it looked great fun and excellent value aswell.

Glad you enjoyed it, will sort the pics out tomorrow. This Dive Centre is now PADI's No2 in the UK and No16 in Europe which I think says it all

They have many instructors and they all are just as great.

I will sort another date for the new year.

I was on the one before this one & I would love to do the course earlyish next year. Only thing I need to do is get my hypertension lower by losing weight. Dec is the start of my weight loss.

If anyone that has done the introductory & wants to progress to achieving the Padi certificate please let me know as it would be nice to train with someone.

Cheers Andy.

Neil I`m sure Sophie would enjoy it the instructors are one on one when doing the excercises and were brilliant. I`m sure Coz and possibly Eleanor would do it again with Sophie. Ask Ross or Markb4 if they enjoyed it aswell.

As has already been said, Coz had a great time yesterday - in fact I think they all did! Thanks again.

The instructors were great with the kids - big & small - and it is something Coz definately wants to do again please!!

A few piccys I took yesterday - note mine were taken from the safety of dry land - Lin was snapping in the water!!

The group

"The Proffesnials"

The Tshirt says it all......not

Mr B4

Little Miss B4 - Elenor

Coz with one of the Instructors

He's got his hands full...

How to fill your mask up?!?

Getting the hang of it

For this one you need to be humming the tune to Jaws........

Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water.......

Boys & their toys!

As I said - BRILLIANT fun - thanks Lin & Steve!
