Location: Daily drive is a Scoob again - just what it should be!

Love Thy Council!!
Well, after the farce of 'gritting' the roads during the ice & snow, we have found out here in Herts / Cambs that the reason they stopped wasn't due to lack of salt / grit.
It was in fact down to money - they couldn't afford to pay the drivers any more overtime!
They also cannot afford to repair the dreadful potholes - which must be damaging cars?
However, my faith in council workers was restored yesterday, when I saw them on the side of the M11 on the Cambs / Essex border................ cutting the grass!
Must mean it's nearly summer!

reason being it dont cost nothing to cut the grass! and they have to be seen doing somthing.but i totaly agree our council is s**t as well the potholes round where i am in east london are terrible and listen to this one someone flytiped opposite where i live so i rang the council for them to come clear it and it took 3days!
That's pretty quick compared to round our way. Normally have to phone up 3 or 4 times to get anything like that sorted.
