Can't see it doing anything I'm afraid.
After all the campaigns in the past, haven't had any noticeable difference to fuel.
Want to look at the history of the fuel protests ? :-
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fuel_pr...United_Kingdom
I'd love the fuel to be cheaper the same as anyone else, but I cannot see the government stripping back the cost of fuel to below £1 a litre, as fuel has got to around the £1.28 per litre now, a 2p-3p drop per litre (roughly what the govenment drop after an outcry) would still see the government up a mighty 25p (ish) per litre, so, as said not a noticeable difference.
I will sign the petition though, as I would love to be wrong.

From: family life is superb but i MISS my scoob!!
this will not make a jots difference, but worth sigining just in case! lol
the thing is everyone seems to blame the goverment, yes they are part to blame with their tax on fuel, but lets not forget the fuel companies who are just after their big fat bonuses at the end of the year.
all you have to do is drive along the same stretch of road on a regular basis and you will see the forecourts putting prices up which has nothing to do with rise in fuel duty etc.

From: Daily drive is a Scoob again - just what it should be!
The only way anything will ever be done is if we react like other countries - for example when the French protest they do it properly and bring the country to it's knees - they block the roads, the ports, the fuel depots and make their point loud & clear.
Unfortunately in this country all we do is whinge & whine, but if any action is taken it is usually 'hijacked' by the 'Great Unwashed' and becomes a good excuse for a scrap!
And as above, I bet the big oil company directors don't wonder whether they'll be able to afford a tank full of fuel come the end of the month.....
