Just took my gf and 3 year old to southend to go in the theme park and spend the afternoon there. Havent been to southend for about 3 years, where are all the cars ?? It used to be heaving i saw about 4 scoobys, one white sapphire and a r 32 gtr that was it. Have the police forced them out?

I want to know what 'shared space' actually means and 'where' it applies ?

Does that mean you can drive along the pavement as it is an area of shared space ...... I'm not going to be the one finding out though.

Late nineties early naughtys was the best time, midnight shift change for the plod and they never really came back so all Hell broke loose, cossy's and EVO's all playing and mini Williams pushing them all along

Basildon came after the good old years on the sea front, i think what killed it or drew the police's attention was when basildon first started kicking off and we all used to meet in the car park between mcdonalds and tescos, it used to be one massive car park and everyone used to descend on it after southend, everyone parked around the outside while people messed around in the centre, one night a guy in a saff cos was doughnuting when a traffic car pulled up, matey sheepishly pulled away in the cossy and the traffic car pulled him up, he basicaly said we couldn't do it but just be careful, needless to say he got around of applause and lots of cheers

Then came the next sat night same thing happened again but 2 panda cars pulled up this time and the only way to describe it was the first generation of scum bag wana be gangster chavs had decided to come along and thought it would be a good idea to throw coins,bottles and basicaly kick the s@#t out of the panda cars which also had female officers in looking scared for their lifes, needless to say every available officer, meat wagon, traffic car and helicopter turned up keeping everyone in the car park and getting the details of ALL the cars

Ok some people were being abit naughty playing in their cars but it was all people who had some seriously nice cars and really into their cars but then there was the chav's who were just into their cars because it was the fashion at the time and fast&furious was out and they just wrecked it for everyone and that was when southend took a huge hit with police presence the hole time and it was never the same again
