About time I properly introduced us
Not quite what some of you will be expecting Since I sold my MeganeSport R26 Team F1 mid 2012 which replaced my 09' Focus RS I have been searching for the perfect car to step up to. The FRS was a hard car to beat, I loved the Megane on track, but on the road it wasn't tickling me enough to keep it. So here is my 'step up' on the FRS (finally!)
It's a 08- Subaru Impreza WRX STi 330S. Which has above the standard STi trim an extra 29bhp and 44lb/ft, Prodrive exhaust system, Keyless entry and push start, Revised Recaro bucket seats & Full screen sat-nav. The standard 0-62 is 4.4s, that's over 1.6s faster than my FRS running just shy of 400bhp
Some of you would of met me at Januarys meet at The Rodney, so see you all again soon. Jamie

Yes. But a few dilemas first. They have 4 brand new Dunlop Sports on them so I cant justify not using them up abit first, I also dont mind the wheels too much (easy to clean ha!) and so I can focus £ into other areas first.
After the trackday I need to decide whether Im keeping the Brembos or going for some 2 piece disc/rotas and replacement calipers eventually.
The Alcon 343mm & 365mm are the same price, but the standard wheels wont fit over the 365mm setup. So I'd want 2 new sets of wheels, 1 for track, one for road.
And lastly I have no real Idea what wheels I want, always just been OEM with wheels, not really changed them. But the Scoob is crying out for something...
Some Rotas and Speedline Turinis are in my mind, but I'd need to rob another back to buy it all

No don't get me wrong I loved the FRS. Im from a Ford family through & through. I had the car from brand new for 2 years, so from standard to just under 400Hp. I loved the sound, the handeling for a big FWD car was good, and the top speed was eye watering for a FORD But the car never seemed to scare me. As a passenger holy moley, but the progressive turbo means that you don't get thrown back into the seat like the Scooby does. Im yet to decide what I prefer of the two, maybe a few trackdays will help me decide. I predict the scoob to be pretty 'boring' in terms of feeling well planted and safe on track as I used to share my pals Evo X 360 (420bhp) and it wasn't very demanding at all.

its funny how ford/subrau ownership cross over had ford s for years but always wanted a scoob and now thats gone back to fords. in perfect word james you have the scoobie and rs aswell and even purpose built track car in the garage , wait weres my 5 lucky numbers for saturdays draw that be nice . hope you didnt loose to much money on the focus because that would of hurt in the wallet area
