North Weald 1/4 RWYB (Run What You Brung)
Hi all.
I PMd frayz regarding drag racing at North Wealds airfield. He stated that i should make a post. So here is the post
I have participated in drag racing since 1993, the 2nd UFC (Ultimate Fast Car) so it was only natural that when North Weald has a RWYB venue that i attend.
This will be first time drag racing in the Subaru and to be honest, i am really looking forward to see how the subaru stands up against my previous cars.
Escort RS Turbo 247bhp 1.6 : 14.14 @ 106mph
Sapphire 4x4 Cosworth 350bhp : 13.21 @ 109mph
Escort Cosworth 550bhp : 12.21 @ 117mph.
I was wondering if anybody else would like to attend to race, and also potentially if there is enough interest, we could potentially have a small stand with various subarus on display.
So far the dates are :
May 12th 2013
June 16th 2013
July 14th 2013.

If you could please post below, if you would like to attend, and add if you would prefer to race, be on the stand (limited numbers potentially) or just tag along and watch.

Agree with you the timing system is not the greatest, but its a great introduction to drag racing etc, and is a good day.
I have been to a fair few events at north weald, and they will let you race any weather, well they used to
