Default A what's this please?

What is the little upside down flying saucer shaped thing? Middle right of the picture? And the hose with white writing on it? Shortly about to fit a Perrin intake hose and a catch can set-up so wondered what this does? And if it puts dirty shoit back in the intake?

Cheers

It's to do with the fuel evaporation circuit, I believe it route back through to the carbon cannister bolted under the boot floor. I'm starting to research it as I plan to remove it on mine replacing the tank vent with a rollover valve
