Default Replacing TD04 With A VF22

Hi

Hoping for a bit of advice

My car is currently fitted with a TD04 turbo

I have just purchased a VF22 Turbo to replace my TD04

Would I be ok to fit the VF22 and drive the car without it being mapped

I will be having the car mapped in a months time or so but will be needing to use it in the meantime

Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

What is wrong with the td04?
I wouldnt do it as the temptation to use more than a half pedal would be too much.

Thanks for the reply pal

Very occasionally when I stop at lights it is smoking a bit so presume the oil seals have gone or are on their way

Rather than replace it with another TD04 I thought it would be a good idea to upgrade

Id stick with the TDO4 for now and use a slightly higher grade oil between now and remap/turbo swap.

Pretty sure if you run at wastegate pressure interim circa 0.5 bar and watch your throttle it would be ok
