Default Best exhaust for power

Currently got a blitz nur spec on my classic. It does sound lovely but I would like something somewhat quieter. Does anyone know what exhaust systems give the highest BHP gains but not being overly loud.

I have a japspeed unit on mine, not too loud, will pass track day limits, 90db when the police measured it a while back.

Im intrigued by your website, never heard of you before, shame there isnt much on there for scoobys!

Go for a prodrive box. Quite quiet and flows well.

Been going for years, since 2002. Most stuff for subaru's, nowadays I find are second hand sourced so we didn't push too hard on this one specific model.... Anyway, the exhaust saga continues, I was torn between Jetex and HKS, we sell both brands so I can get them at cost price, Jetex has always been a great seller for us but tend to be very quiet, never heard one o a scoob though, HKS I was worried was still going to be quite noisy, unless I went for the silent but then I was worried it would be too quiet lol. I've got launch control and anti lag on the car so do from time to time like to hear the noise to its full potential, but as a frequently used car on the roads I would like to reduce the noise a bit, maybe just a bit less than the blitz after the butt plug is shoved in.

I would look at the japspeed stuff, one has been fitted to my 500hp scoob for 3 or 4 years and is still working perfect, sounds good and does the business

Jglanza explain a little more about the police pulling you for exhaust. What they do?

Personally I run a his silent rear box and centre with a 3" bell mouth downpipe. Only quiet when under 3k but over it has a cracking sound. Got it as was looking for a similar exhaust and read Harvey's thread on exhaust he reckons it is one of the best power to noise exhausts. It is a 2.75" bore. Another good one for power but relatively quiet is the revolution exhaust lets you do tracks but produces good power and 3" all the way through.

I have a fujitusbo(sp) system 3" all the way through. Sounds brilliant and isn't too loud and I must say it felt a lot smoother when I changed it over from a h & s

I had a HKS system on my 93 WRX, they are rather noisy but quieter than the BC exhaust I have on my UK 99.
