Can I ask the same . I have a 1994 jap import . At no it has a j&r air filter.
So it better then standed , but I have seen ones that go into the wing, & lots of other ones . Like I say the one now it just has a filter that fit into the box. It came with the car . Now time to upgrade . With one help . If someone can put a pic up as well of it to help me it will help me out big time , as there are lots out there . Plus wot other mods can I do that don't cost that much. I.e top mounted intercooler . Or is it better to save and get a frount mounted intercooler .

RCM make one of the best induction kits for the Subaru in conjunction with a K&N filter,I recon that most builds and modified Subaru's run one.I would personally stay clear of the wing mounted air filters I know some members run them but I have always thought that any puddle or crap that gets spun up by your wheels will get sucked through it,and depending on bhp you can't really fit a good size filter in your wing compared to having one fitted In the engine bay.I understand the argument about the air filters fitted in the engine bay draws a lot of heat from the turbo engine components etc... But i asked Olley from RCM who told me that there is enough air around the engine bay when driving for the filter to still perform well.SJ.
