Default Classic Sigma Alarm beeping

Hi,

Tried to lock my car today and the alarm keeps beeping as if there is a door etc open, if I don't disarm it quickly the alarm goes off as if a door or bonnet is open!

I have been around and checked the bonnet and door sensors - they are all in good condition and move freely but where is the boot sensor? Is it the little white plastic bit in the boot lock?

Any ideas on how I can check what is wrong with it or any common faults to look out for?

Car is a MY00 UK classic with factory fit Sigma.

Dodgy battery? My battery has just died through lack of use and that's exactly what happened to me!

Battery is new and fully charged, I think its the boot sensor as when I shut the boot the boot light stays on all the time. Now I just need to work out how to get to it!

Any ideas? The light stays on even with the boot shut and the boot sensor disconnected which is causing my alarm to think the boot is open and so wont lock.

Depends what way the boot switch works too, if it's normally open or normally closed. On my toad alarm the boot sensor input goes to ground with the boot open. Try grounding the boot sensor wire against the body. My boot sensor is a bit iffy sometimes too.

Yea the boot sensor pop ups and grounds when the boot is open, and when you shut the boot it should go off but it doesn't, even if I disconnect the boot sensor so there is no ground at all the boot light still stays on!
