Bugeye wrx wagon
Hi new to the forum names JORDAN and stay in Kinross Scotland.
Currently in the process of getting a bugeye wrx wagon, looking for a few answers/help.
Cars an 01 bugeye wrx wagon with 86000 on clock in silver with prodrive upgrades, hybrid turbo, forge dump valve. Reportedly 270whp but couldn't find paperwork. Private plate with wrx on it. Cleaning body and interior couple little rusty bits to be expected.
Now for the bad bits, cars been off road for couple years due to water pipe came off and Knackered the heads, still started when went to see it and sounded sweet as a nut for the little time was running. brakes and tyres are no good now due to it been sitting too long but still moves and before went off road had advisory for front subframe.
Will it be worth fixing or be better stripping it for parts?
Thanks JORDAN

Thanks and I'm getting it for a really good price. Number plate alone is worth triple what I would pay for car. I'm still pretty young and always wanted a Subaru so would either be a project for a while or stripping it for parts just not to sure what to do and if would be worth my time. Should also mention not really got money to buy a fully working good one due to just buying a mk5 golf gt.
Thanks

im guessing your getting the car for next to nothing then as plates with wrx can be had for a few hundred.. at the end of the day its your choice, if you choose to buy it as a project then you will be putting money into it I would have thought... save it in my opinion and hold out for a decent one.

Yeah can get it for around £300 plates been quoted online for £900. He's got two new heads for it but would be wanting more for them. It's a hard decision as you don't get a decent condition(except the bad bits) scooby for next to nothing

Will have a look tonight. Does all bugeye items fit wagon and saloon except the obvious. Can they be used on others like classics and blob? Sorry for all questions just new to subarus lol

Simple answer is no. The wagon had a smaller track than the saloon, so there is some differences in the suspension/running gear setup. Also the wings and bumpers are different. Mechanicals are the same I believe - at least I've never seen an issue with my MY02 wagon in using standard bug eye parts.
