I have an 54 plate WRX with a standard twin back box.

If I was to fit a STI standard exhaust would that be slightly louder?

I don't want it loud but just to have a bit more roar than I have with my twin pipe.

Prob be the same. Very quiet. Go for a prodrive backbox.

 

I had a full decat on my 03 WRX with an STi box and while it was marginally more burbly than a stock wrx it basically sounded factory. I fitted the Prodrive box last week and there has been a significant difference in noise levels. It's not harsh, but it's not quiet.

 

I agree with rb5 stu, use a Prodrive one.
