Default Throttle loss WRX bugeye

Hi!

I have a weird issue with my 2001 bugeye wrx. Today on my way to work the car seemed to completely lose throttle response while driving.

The throttle just died for a few seconds (meanwhile the car idled normally, no other symptoms whatsoever, no CEL) then came back. Then the same thing happened again a few miles later. Since this is a cable actuated throttle it seems weird to me.

I suspect the TPS or something related. Today i will plug the EcuTek diagnostics and see if there are any error codes and the TPS voltage. I will unplug the TPS and try to "simulate" the error too. Also i will remove the IC and check for throttle plate binding.

Any other ideas, suggestions? MAF? Crank sensor? Fuel related (mind i have an almost new fuel pump, new fuel filter)?
