Performance Friction disc and Z-rated pads, they command a premium price but by my own admission they are the best set up for the brembo caliper, and i have tried a few set ups over the ten years of my sti ownership, your spoilt for choice you can contact BOB of Aztec or Alyn of ASperformance,or Ian of Godspeed brakes for excellent prices and service, they are all Scoobynet traders.SJ.

How much do you want to spend?
There was a discussion about EBC including Greenstuff and those pads are completely unsuitable for our cars...even EBC have given them a low rating.
I'm running Godspeed grooved discs and Kevlar pads and for me they are fine and if you're on a budget bloody good value imo

Hi,
I'm also looking for a set of discs and pads for a widetrack (114.3?) STi. Do you happen to have any links to the discs and pad combos above? There seems to be a large variety...
Thanks,
Dibs

Why are they so cheap for discs AND pads? Oem discs are more than twice the price and a set of DS2500s are £50+ more. Hiw can this be? Are they any good?
Thanks

I use this setup on my wrx, seen a couple of trackdays and weren't too bad, do tend to fade quite quickly but for the money there ain't anything better. I also find these pads are ridiculously dusty, within a couple hundred miles of normal driving the wheels are caked in brake dust, again it's to be expected for the price.
If you decide to go for these definitely get front and rears, I made the mistake of changing the fronts only first time round and it seemed to put a lot of pressure on the new pads, almost like it made the rears redundant and resulted in overheating of the fronts very quickly on track.
In a nutshell I'd say it's a good upgrade from standard for the money, you won't get better for less.
