Default Which cable for re locating battery to boot

Morning guys, I'm moving the battery on my 95 Sti Ra to the boot, in order to free up a bit of much needed space under the bonnet.
Please forgive I'm really clued up on cable specs etc. I've read previous threads but don't seem any more knowledgable about it.

Could anybody advise and spec a cable that I could use?

Thanks joe

Right ok, so 4 gauge cable should be up to the job? So can I use 4gauge amp wiring kit?

If you read to the bottom of the thread, the 4 gauge turned out to be too narrow for that length of cable. It worked but the engine cranked very slowly and the alarm would randomly chirp as you started due to power loss. You need 0 gauge in my opinion. I have tried this and now have no problems with 0 gauge wire. I used 4 gauge for the earth and it seems fine.

I wouldn't use an amp wiring kit, the cable is not designed for cranking amperage and will get hot and possibly melt, you want a solid core cable with a solid sheath imho.

have a look into arc welder cable - the quality of the connections is very important also, they need to be soldered really
