Default 'half a hole of pre-load' actuator adjustment (funky paint diagram inside)

So just to check i've got the right idea here...when people say the best way to adjust your actuator correctly is to give half a hole of preload.

Is this what they mean?

I close the actuator flap then line up the rod so half of the hole on the rod is covering the nipple on the actuator flap and then I pull it over and fit the c-clip.

Only reason I ask is in the quest to find my boost issues i've adjusted it like this and now it seems to bring on boost alot quicker and alot more violently like its got some real urgency about it (still not going past 0.6 but alas)

Is this type of adjustment right?

Thanks again people!

Yes, that's the idea.
If you've had the car mapped with the wastegate slack, you may now find you may get a bit of overboost now you've got the wastegate properly shut.
