Default Uprated actuator

Hi,I'm Currently mapped for 21 psi but I find I'm dropping boost at high rpm down to as low as 17 psi by 7000rpm. I was thinking of getting a 1.5 bar actuator to hold the boost better, question is as I'm mapped for 1.5 bar and the boost being controlled by a 3 port factory boost solinoid, will fitting a 1.5 bar actuator make my car over boost? Or will the boost solinoid just bleed off the extra pressure it's mapped to increase on top of the stock actuator? Any info would greatly be appreciated thanks.

What turbo are you running?

It will need a remap, the wastegate duty will need adjusting for the new actuator and your timing/fuel will need adjusting for for the (potential) extra boost at higher rpm.

Hi mate, thanks for the reply, it's a sc38 I don't really wanna remap yet I'd rather wait till I change a few bits.

Is boost not supposed to drop off like this at that sort of rpm?

Itll be because top end it blows more hot air than low end, heat from back of turbo warms up the air. Do you have fmic?

dont most mappers map the boost this way so it tails off at the top end of the useable power band? seems to me to be unusual to have full boost to the redline.
