Default Hatch sti owners !! What exhaust you running

Hi , I'm looking for some advice and suggestions on what exhaust to get for my 08 hatch sti .

I'm looking for a full decat 3 inch system and so far my short list is

1.revolution system but I'm not keen on the slip joint fitments.
2.cobra sport with resonator in centre pipe.
3. Hayward and Scott , only concern is that it would be ear splitting ?
4. ????????

If anyone has any advice or videos etc of they're car that they could share then it would be most helpful.

I have tried the search option also as I'm sure this has been asked many times but it didn't offer any results I'm after so hence this thread.

Any help would be great

Cheers

Hi Grant

You may well find they are all too noisy. We've used the Cobra sport cat with the Milltek cat back and that's not bad at all. Nice sound without going over the top.

Depends what you class as noisey? I am yet to hear a really loud Hatch STI, my WRX hatch has a decat down pipe and an STI cat back Blitz nur spec system and to be honest its only loud on cold start then its OK!
Not comparable at all to blobeyes etc.

Id be bit dubious about this with regard to the fitment and quality as with most things in life , you get what you pay for.

However it would be nice to be proven wrong on these systems if anyone has one fitted

My hatch also has the H&S fitted and I think it was the deciding factor in purchasing the car, sounds fantastic in my opinion. The only time I'd say it is too loud is with the pops and bangs map switched on.

Also, no vids of it yet I'm afraid.

Thanks for the videos Rob , car sounds great.

I used to have a full decat on my old bug sti with a afterburner vortex and to be honest I didn't find it all that loud.
However , I do have a 6 month old daughter now so I think im going to go for a H+S system with a silencer/resonator in the centre section to quiet it down just a little.

Just out of curiosity though , has anyone had the revolution system fitted to theyre hatch ?

Cheers
