![Question](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/icons/icon5.gif)
I had asked this on another thread but had no reply:
On a Newage, can any part of the MAF's operation be tested by unplugging it whilst at idle and seeing if the engine stalls, stutters or does nothing?

There is no 100% way to test if a MAF is faulty, broken, overreading or underreasing (the latter being the most common failure mode). One accurate way is via OBD live data and plotting MAF values at various throtle positions and engine rpms and comparing it to graph/data plots of a brand new genuine sensor (not second hand or non-genuine) fitted to the same engine. Another way is measuring air fuel ratio via a wideband sensor.
Some people may say the unplug test works.....its bulls**t.

Where would I get the data graph for a new MAF, maybe google it?
Thanks for your input

I suspected my MAF was starting to fail, slight stutters and running a little rich.
did the old search for testing, no real clear way.
Then saw Matt selling them for £10 so just bought one of those, for that price its worth it.
swapped it last night in about 2 mins, all issues now gone and back to smooth running again.![Luxhello](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/luxhello.gif)
