Question regarding torque.
Sorry if this is a dumb question but I'm after some advice....
Basically my bug STi type UK makes 327.1 bhp / 264 lbft
Shouldn't It make more torque than that?

RCM up pipe
Ferral racing T304 turbo back.
K&N panel filter.
225lph walbro fuel pump
One of my questions is towards the exhaust, I can't find any information on them apart from a thread on here stating that their not too bad but the down pipe is too big on both ends. Anyhow, the Lambda sensor is plugged into the exhaust after what looks like a cat, although this could be a resonator? Shouldn't this be mapped out if it's a full de-cat?
I'm planning on booking my car in with Andrew Car for another map for a piece of mind but thinking I won't bother yet if I'm going to replace the exhaust system.

What RPM are those figures?
If its correct...including my maths, it should be more or less 6507rpm...correct?
Seeing BHP is calculated from the measured rpm and the measured torque (BHP is always calculated, its never measured)...that BHP must be achieved at a high RPM. The higher the RPM for a given torque measurement, the higher the BHP.
BHP= Torque x RPM / 5252. (I just rearraged the equation to solve the RPM)
So yeah, torque is down but its obviously pretty constant throughout the powerband as its staying there and not dropping away, otherwise the calculated BHP wouldn't be so high. Peak figures really don't mean much or paint a full picture;...a graph showing the torque curve says a lot more

The graph states 321.1bhp at 7042 rpm and 264 lpft at 4943
It was mapped by Noble Motorsport, now I'm not saying their terrible but i do know Andrew Carr is really good, he transformed my friends Blob. The graph is from 2010 but the car hasn't done many miles since then.

On 2.0L is hard to have or get even torque figures,mostly if you will go with 3" exhaust you will loose on torque figures,due this if you are running still VF35 or turbo which is rated under 350-380bhp I would stick with 2.5" exhaust
This exhaust I wouldn't use and I would sell this exhaust straight away,you can have issue with the fitting this exhaust,if not then you are lucky,we run similar exhaust and we have issue with this exhaust
If its budget then I would go with TSL GRP N exhaust which has been best in my view,very nice sound and is it 2.5" and for 3" exhaust I would go with Revolution exhaust

Looking at the graph I'd say it is a bit down on torque, and it looks like it does really start pulling well until after 3500rpm, I'd say it should be doing that sooner. But why? I can't say, the exhaust can have an effect, but there probably is something else going on there too.
