turbo lag in 3rd and 4th
Hi everyone
Need some advice I've got a 2003 bugeye wrx sti got a problem with turbo lag in 3rd and 4th between 4000rpm and 4500rpm the car just seem slow but as soon as I'm past 4500rpm it picks up again.
I've fitted a full decat exhaust system and have checked that for air leaks. Changed the cam sensor as that was the only fault the came up on the diagnostic and checked my plugs are all good.
Any suggestions would be a great help

Yes. Your system is flowing more gas out than the ECU thinks it is and all the ECU measuring parameters & settings could be out as a result. Could see overboosting and all sorts in theory.
The ECU will fuel correct itself to an extent to compensate for a filter change etc, but full exhaust change is quite a big change so I would always do a remap asap after this.
It's my guess that this is why you are no longer seeing smooth power delivery.

There are lots on here I would reccommend through very good feedback, but personally I have only used Duncan from RaceDynamix with good results. He is in the South coast very near you I believe (Also mobile & will travel to you).
Alternatively there are: Jolly Green Monster (AKA Simon) who is also mobile and can travel to you, Scoobyclinic, Zen performance, Bob Rawle, Engine Tuner, Andrew Carr, API, FB Tuning, DSA In Aylesbury.
Probably loads I've missed out!!!!
