Default Advice

Hi there.
I am looking at buying a wrx and I took one for a test drive today it's a 2005 with 88450miles and it seems like it's been looked after and hasn't been modified in anyway it does come with full service history, however I did notice the clutch felt very heavy and the biting point is high of the pedal.
It didn't slip at all but was wondering if anyone knows roughly how much it would cost to replace and also should I get the belts changed and if so how much does that cost.
The car is up for £4500.
Thank you very much for helping.

would say that i think most impreza clutches feel like this, i know the ones ive driven and one i own do, price for clutch replacement could wildly vary place to place, but would take a rough guess at £500 with a oem clutch

Great so the clutch may not be as worn as I first thought thanks for the advice just one thing I was thinking If I have to replace the timing belt when I reach a 100"000miles is there anything else that would need replacing why they do the belts.

Thanks once again
