Default sort of a rubbing sound

Hi, dont know if anyone can help or if the video helps but my car MY00 Bugeye wrx has developed a sort of rubbing sound from the engine, sounds like its from the top of the engine. i thought it might be the alternator but it doesnt sound like it is

any help would be appreciated

Could be alternator bearings, water pump, aircon.

Try a large screwdriver, handle in your ear, sharp end CAREFULLY placed on each item. It will help you isolate which is loud.

Look at the belt side on, is it rubbing against the timing belt or pulley cover?
