Default Can someone explain the differences with exhaust housing size etc GT30/35

I quite fancy the while rotated turbo setup shortly for my 2.1.

There does seem to be quite a difference with the above turbos, but I'm not sure what's what with them.

I'd be after a turbo that's 600BHP capable on my 2.1 with AVCS.

Discuss.

The variations in exhaust housings are normally .63 which is the fastest spooling housing, then .82 which allows more flow therefore more topend power but compromises a little spool and then its the 1.06 which is for maximum topend power the turbo can make. Obviously there are custom housings that add to the mix but in general terms thats whats on offer.

To see a guarenteed 600bhp on straight Vpower then you will want the gt35r with either a .63 or. 82 housing for best response.

Ive currently got a gt35r on my 2litre sti with avcs and its a bit of a lag monster but my car has some restriction issues which could be making it appear worse but either way its going back to the gt30r as it was actually faster that way.

There is a full rotated gt35r setup in the for sale section aswell i believe and its well cheap

A rotated gtx3076r will see 600hp and be good on spool, a 35 will be slightly laggy but will see good power but won't be as drivable as a 3076r

Thanks gents. Getting my head around it now. Looks like I'll be opting for the GT30r rotated, with .82 housing.

Iv had all three housings on my rotated GT30 (none billet) 2.1 stroker and by far the best to drive was the .63 , the .82 was ok and the 1.06 was very laggy in comparison to the .63 ,, I never did any power runs to see the BHP diffrences but I never really worry about numbers more how the car drives and it drove much much better with the smaller rear housing
