Catch Cans - 2 or 3 port?

Cant seem to find any definitive info on which is best.
I have a 2 port to fit to my 99 type r but i'm not sure how to go about it and the more I think about it the more a 3 port makes sense (2 in's, 1 vta)
I also need to know what hose sizes people used and where they T'd off and capped off.
Any help is appreciated
