Default Newage undertray fit classic

I've just bought a Newage wrx intercooler, going to fit to my v4 classic, question is, do i need to modify the undertray or purchase different one?

Guessing the newage undertray will direct more flow to the intercooler but will it be a straight swap?

you would need to modify a classic one to get full benefit. the classic aperture is smaller

I modified my classic undertray and used the rubber seal from the new age one

Right so the newage undertray is not a direct fit? So how so I go about modifying the undertray?

if you take bonnet air intake off. fit intercooler and put some cardboard over intercooler fins, slowly bring bonnet down till the rubber from tray touches the intercooler. you can now draw outline onto cardboard/, will give you an idea of how much you need to modify. alternatively borrow a new age tray and work out the new opening size from that/

I had a newage and used that as a template for the classic tray. I then cut and bent to size of the newage. I then drilled holes and fitted the rubber from the newage onto the classic.
