Lots of movement at rear of car
Helppp please peeps
Ok so its kinda hard to word but there is movement coming from the back end of the car enought to make me worry a lot !! .... As soon as I got back this evening I had the rear bench out to check the shock wasn't loose its that bad.
I noticed this awhile back but wasn't to bad but new the issue was there but today I was worried the back of my spec c was going to give way...
When I originally felt the issue In hand I had the back end of the car up but could see no problems I'm going to have a another look tomoro but I feel I cannot drive the car in with its current predicament.
You feel the issue when
1. Ur slowing down almost about to stop
2. If u pull away slow
It's like the back end is about to drop its not a banging but more like a wobble with a clunk...
I no that is really not descriptive enough but are there bushes I should be checking, the droplinks have not snapped and I gave a good tug on the top of each rear wheel and there solid

That's a good shout, will be checking driveshafts nuts in the morning, but would think there would be play in wheel when I move side to side which there isn't

No specialists near me also don't even wanna take the car off the drive till I no what the issue is
Wheel nuts are not the issue as checked them earlier today before the problem.
Hub bearings...... How would I no ...?

Right been under the rear of the sub today and I really cannot see anything that is loose or out of place. The arb looks fine as do the bushes droplinks seem ok driveshafts in position, hub from what I can see is all conected as it should be and the shock looks fine also
Not sure what to do ??
what I will add though is I just realised it seems to only do this with more weight in the car so like today I took her out couldn't get the issue to repeat itself however I've noticed that the car dose do it when there is a extra person in there such as last night

If you can't see it, you are going to have to drive it carefully to a trustworthy garage, get them to put it on the ramps, unweight it, (lift it off it's wheels) and check for play in all mountings/bushes/bolts/pivots.
You obviously can't find it with the weight of the car on the wheels.

i cannot trust anyone with my scoob
I jacked the whole back end up via the diff so could have a proper look under there, no play in the wheels suspension looks and feels solid and done up as well as all the arms and shafts and arb and drop links.
But as you have pointed out it would be better on a ramp to have a better look about I guess i just like doing things myself.

I would have thought if it was the diff It would happen all the time not just when there are a cupple of people in it... Yes the sub is a spec c so dose have dccd.
It's like the car steps sideways a inch or so with abit of a clunk, u can feel the car do it that it my main issue, strange that it only happens when there is a passenger maybe because there is more weight on the side I belive the issue is on ..hmmmmm

My blobeye is doing similar. Excessive movement in the inverted shock absorber tubes due to lack of grease. Suspect the tubes are damaged on mine so getting some new rear shockers.
It feels like the car drops an inch and realigns itself when you stop or slow down ready to stop.

Interesting, could be the same issue, me and a friend spent a cupple of hours under the car with the *** in the air yesterday looking at all the bushes and really couldn't see any issues... I did look at the shocks but visually they look fine, bolts tight top and bottom but I guess u cannot see what is internally going on...
Is there anyway to to test the shock if I was to remove it ??

Difficult to test for on the car I think. I'm going off what other people have described and it seems the same.
