Oil modine or oil cooler

I've still not had my main question answered?
Will that oil kit that I linked excuse the need for a modine? (It's £190 for a genuine modine so do a put a couple of pennies towards a cooler kit and be done with it?)
Gonna phone Alyn tmr and order a few bits so wondering to add it to list or not.

If you buy a complete running car its fine, you never know the state of the engine that it came from if you buy seperately. People will say the engine was running fine but could be full of bits of piston rings or big end bearings. Just a risk I wouldn't take personally.

Forget that.

The link in #7 would replace the modine but would recommend having the thermostatic sandwich plate and not the ordinary one in the kit.
The thermostatic plate will allow the oil to warm up as per the OEM modine oil cooler before opening and allowing the oil to circulate through the cooler.

But hasn't the coolant/water got something to do with the modine?

unless you're doing track only I would fit the modine first and see how you get on, then fit the oil cooler only if you have a problem.
Even with a thermostatic plate I struggle with low oil temps in winter, it's fine about town but any cruising gives sub 80deg temps, so much so I cover the cooler form October.

Thanks.
I'm gonna stick with modine for now seen as I've bought it now, as the delete modine to fit cooler is a diy job which I can do at a later date.
