Hi there

Personally I would go with MDX321T or SC42+ if you are looking for nice turbo, with Precision turbo I've got mixed results, although not on Subaru there

Hope this helps

Thanks,Jura

Hi Jura

I had a MD321V before that failed so won't touch those with a barge pole any longer, been told by reputable tuners that the precision turbos are a good option.

well the Turbo claims 525+ and I'm looking into meth as well so I'd be happy with anything 550+ not that I'm chasing numbers or anything lol

We were recently asked to test the bolt on unit for our good friends at RCM.
They sent us a test unit which we quickly fitted to a customers standard engined 2004 Type UK STi.
This car had already been fitted with all of the supporting modifications to make it a worthy test subject consisting of 1000cc injectors, RCM 340lph pump, RCM headers, RCM K+N filter, Perrin front mount, , 3 inch exhaust system, 3 bar map sensor and an Alcatek ecu.
After sorting a minor issue with high end boost due to a leaky OE recirculating dump valve (Watch that one on these cars) running a modest 1.5 bar held to the redline we saw 473bhp and 400lbft of torque. Baring in mind this was on an unopened OE engine we turned the wick down a smidge for longevity.
Spool is as good as anything else we've tested over the years on a like for like basis and I'd certainly recommend them to my customers wanting a good quality bolt on unit to do 450bhp +.

They're available now so feel free to call for pricing.

I'll get a graph up shortly.

Much bigger wheels, so more power but doesn't spool as fast.
Kind of as you'd expect really.

Interesting.

Do PT also do a Impreza std position single scroll turbo aimed around the 400-420 mark (thus increasing spool up a bit)?

Indeed, do they also do an equivalent TS version, too?

If so, what is the model number/s?

Currently only one model exists for a direct fit unit.
