Can anyone tell me what these are like in terms of build quality and sound? I am looking at the 2.5" backbox to fit to my non resonated centre section with prodrive sportcat downpipe. I don't want anything too loud and just wondered what people's thoughts on these were.

Are they blitz loud?

Got a 3inch cobra full decat on mine. Louder than a prodrive system i once had but alot quieter than a previous japspeed 3inch decat. Got 98db on sound check at recent sprint day so track friendly.

 

How is it in cold start in terms of waking up the neighbours lol. Am not looking to annoy them well not all the time lol

 

Not to bad if honest but my car not a daily drive so dont have that worry haha

 

they are great exhausts build quality is bang on.

 

Ive got a 4" cobra back box I had fitted last week on an 03 wrx with 2nd cat delete, standard middle.

It's much nicer sounding than the Wrsport oval pipe it had in on it previously. Nice deep scooby burble, nothing silly noise wise.

Only because I was worried how loud it was going to be I measured for comparison, my original exhaust was 30~db at fast idle, the cobra is 45~db.

 

I just thought i'd bump an old thread rather than starting another one, ive just bought a 2008 Sti Hatchback, the car comes with a HKS downpipe and a Cobra sport twin exhaust system, to my ears this sounds great, its definitely loud but a nice loud, it's just about right imo to annoy the neighbours, it looks a quality, well made exhaust.
