Where is this coolant pipe meant to go?

Default Where is this coolant pipe meant to go?

Hi I just bought my WRX a couple of weeks ago and am slowly getting to know it.
I have a small coolant pipe that has been blocked off. Can anyone shed some light on what's going on here?

Also here is a pic of the whole engine bay. Is there anything else you can see that is not how it should be?

Have you got a cap on your radiator? If you have there should be a pipe coming out just under the cap, that hose should go on it,

Hi, thanks for the info. I have no cap on the rad (rad looks pretty new so probably has been replaced). Does that explain it?

That pipework is for a radiator with a cap. 03+

So someone has replaced with non cap 00-02 rad
