Default Prodrive WRX Vs Standard WRX

Hello all,

Some of you may know me, I've had two Impreza STI's and recently sold my last one to fund buying a house.

I was driving a Clio 197 for a month or two but decided I want another Subaru so think I'm going to go for a WRX.

I've seen a Prodrive WRX advertised, I'm basically wanting to know the difference between it and the standard WRX.

Its a claimed 265bhp so at a guess I would say less cats, prodrive exhaust and upgraded fuel pump? Any thing else I'm missing?

Thanks,

Matthew.

if 2.0 it doesnt have a sports cat. it has a 2nd cat delete, still has normal standard downpipe cat, up-pipe cat etc

and if its a 2.5 its literally a map

Significant difference in performance, but I wouldn't pay a premium for it as it's easy enough to DIY it.

2nd cat delete, Prodrive back box and silcone intercooler pipe along with the prodrive map, which is an ecu re-flashable jobby, mine is on here in the mapping section available to download and flash FOC,(5 min job) but I'd say there are 1000's of copies floating about the net on the various forums.

I ended up getting it for around the same price as a normal WRX, maybe a little more but didn't mind paying a bit extra seeing as it had upgraded brembos.

I plan on fully decating the exhaust, upgrading the fuel pump and then mapping again. After that itll probably be a TD05-16G and a STI TMIC

Matt.

Out of interest why would you fit an STI TMIC? The WRX one will probably exceed the TD05 output.
