Default Boost or gauge problem?

I've had my prosport boost gauge in the car for about 6 months now and never had any problems with it. A few nights ago I'm driving along and when you take your foot off of the accelerator the gauge would either start jumping around or go right round to 2.0 BAR. As soon as you even slightly touch the accelerator again the gauge will go back to reading what it should. Does this seem like its a problem with the gauge or is there a problem possibly with something on car?

Cheers for the help

Might be the sender. Is it an electrical gauge, or does the pipe run to it?

OK cheers I think that the issue is with the sender unit as it's now not even moving, may look into a mechanical one instead
