Default 2003 WRX - engine installation advice/pre-checks

Hi guys, past few months I've slowly been rebuilding a WRX engine (the full build thread will follow when I've got it in and running) and I'm just after some advice on what stages/process I should do things e.g what oil to put in for the first running, disconnect coils till oil pressure is correct etc etc. Basically any advice would be great, this is my first engine build and installation.

Also, I can't find the positive terminal for the battery in the engine bay? I bought this car with the engine already removed. I'm pretty sure the battery terminal has just come off the two circular connectors as seen in the pics below.

Thanks in advance guys
