Default Up-rated fuel pump

I am looking to upgrade the fuel pump on my 98 V4 type R.

Can someone tell me if there is any difference, other than the price between these fuel pumps? They appear to be exactly the same other than the colour coding and branding?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Yep first one has RCM tax, other than that they will be supplied by the same manufacturer

I wouldn't risk the last 2 tbh, that kemso pump seems a copy but can't be genuine at that price as even at cost price their not that cheap.

I'd stick with a rcm, aeromotive or scoobyworx pump which I belive are all same.
Or you could go the walbro pump aswell.
The rest I'd be wary of.

The aeromotive and scoobyworx ones look exactly the same as well. I don't mind paying for a quality item but don't want to get ripped off because it says rcm or collosus on the side. Now I am confused...

Our pumps along with Aeromotive and RCM cost us more to buy in than the Kemso and APS ones are sold for. There is a reason for that. They are a high quality pumps which are tested rigorously before been even put into stock.

The cheap pumps are produced cheaply in their hundreds and they test maybe 2 out of 100 pumps. It's not worth saving £50 on a pump for it to cost you further down the line.

Ours and aeromotives are individually tested at various pressures with results recorded and each pump serial numbered and current draw also checked. The cheap pumps pull dangerous amounts of current which can melt wiring and we all know what that can lead to.

We tried the cheaper pumps and had them tested and the amp draw was dangerous hence why we now will only supply our "colossus" range we know are the best pump on the market

If any body else is offered one of our pumps not from us direct or not from Triton Motorsport who we supply them to then it will be a fake. We haven't seen any pumps up to now that are fakes of ours but you never know.

The Kemso pumps look similar to the SWRD/Aeromotive ones but they are 100% cheap copies

Just make sure you fit the sock that is on the pump you take off.

I have found since fitting my collosus 340. I can hit fuel cut if i put enough lateral g in my car when below half a tank.

Great quality product tho and happy with it. Quieter than the walbro it replaced.

While we're on the subject of pumps I'm going to replace mine soon as it's getting noisy. Am I ok to replace a standard pump with one of these without a map tweak? I've tried searching the threads but can't find anything conclusive.
The car is a 2005 blob wrx with PPP.
All advice welcome.

If you are not going for map tweak or more power best go for smallest upgraded one say 255/280lph,

Will be fine, reckon the larger one i have fitted to mine would be fine also but overkill if you dont want more power.

The only time you will have a problem fitting an upgraded fuel pump is if your car is mapped to a weak pump prior to fitting the upgrade.

Fuel trim will be adjusted to push the weak pump top end and when you fit a stronger upgrade pump it can throw the fueling out.

Hopefully somebody like Bob Rawle will comment as he will tell you in a more technically correct way.

If you old pump was fine before a map then you shouldn't have issues really but if you were planning a mapping session fit the pump before to be safe
