Default v7 tb conversion on classic

hi all

im having my alcatek upgraded to the later closed loop setup

they will do the hardware upgrade for free to so I can run a v7 onwards style throttle body to so I can get rid of the original Idle control valve and run with the integrated unit on v7 throttle body

im also making an inlet manifold for improved flow so would like to know what the best way to mount the tb is as in the v7 the idle control is in a separate chamber if you like where the original is just bolted to the inlet with just a tract to the top of the inlet

here is a link and a few pictures

https://www.scoobynet.com/general-te...-manifold.html

is it essential to restrict the area in which the idle control is in contact with the manifold flow or can I basically bore a large hole the OD of the throttle body with the 4 mounting bolts and fit to the manifold?

cheers

Think i have come up with a temporary solution to running newage throttle body on a classic manifold

Should work

Just made a sandwich plate with a bit of relief so idle control will still function as intended and hopefully controllable!
