Default STI TIMING BELT COVER

hi all...have recently took my 2010 sti into a main dealers for a service and cambelt change, the service was carried out fine but was told they could not change the cam belt due to not being able to remove the cover because 2 of the fixing bolts were just spinning and would not come out and i was advised to take the vechile elsewhere to have the bolts remove.
has anyone else had this problem? and more importantly is there a simple solution?
any help would be much appreciated.

A Subaru main dealer?

Any mechanic who bottles out of a Cambelt change with such a poor excuse should be ashamed and possibly named so we can avoid the Cowboys!

My advice is pretty much what they have said and take it to someone who knows what they're doing.

I'm lost for words!
Do you live anywhere near any of the decent mechanics that are used by members on here?

I have come across this quite often...just grind the heads of the bolts off ,slide the cover over the remaining part of the bolt and once the cover is off they undo with your fingers!
Easy Peasy!!
