Suggestion for the next service

Suggestion for the next service
Hey folks, next service of my car is coming up (2001 WRX, bone stock)
I'll need to change spark plugs, oil and maybe air filter.
The previous owner gave me some high performance oil with the car, but he said I'd need to get the ECU tuned for that. Problem is I'm not at home tonight and I really can't remember which oil it is, but I'll write tomorrow. But is it actually necessary to tune the ecu because of an oil change? I'm going to install a catless 3" exhaust system from BIJP in the next few days/ next week, so I'll get a ecu tune in the near future anways, but would it be possible to drive the "performance oil" without tune for a few months? Anyway, any suggestions regarding oil and plugs? Car is not gonna get significantly more power (with the catless tune maybe some HP more but not much, maybe, but just maybe raising boost pressure) so which spark plugs to get? Rather have some good ones than "cheap crap"
And regarding air filter: what kind of work is needed to change from the stock airfilter to an open one? Regarding electric sensors and that stuff.
Anyway to make it short:
I need some suggestions for spark plugs and oil and want to know how much work it is to change to an open air filter.
Thanks and sorry for the long post

Ngk pfr6b plugs x4
Black genuine oil filter, genuine fuel filter, maybe a cosworth/k&n panel filter instead of an open air item, oil wise I always have used millers cfs 10-40 10-50 some may say this is wrong but I've never had any issues infact I have just used millers cfs 10-50 in my brothers blob wrx totally standard and no issues
As for a remap this is not necessary unless you take the cats out or you go for an open air filter option which will then be necessary..

Sooooo. previous owner gave me 10 liters of new Castrol Edge 10W-60 Fully synthetic oil with it, said the ecu should be tuned...
My previous scooby (2000 Bugeye WRX) has had Mobil 1 5W-50 Rally Formula, Also have 2-3 litres left of that.
So no need to remap at all, good. (was confused anyway as it is just an oil change). Which oil to go for, or get something completely else? Car is stock and besides getting a cat less 3" exhaust system there won't be any change regarding power (maybe going for some more boost pressure, but I'm not sure as of yet). Which road to go for?

Ok, as for the oil filter I've already ordered a genuine OEM oil filter. Not sure if I should change the fuel filter, but why not actually. Open air was just an idea, but just changing the panel filter should do the job I guess. I've noted the spark plugs, will take a look on that. Thanks mate

The 10-60 Castrol edge should be fine just let car get up to temp properly before boosting slightly on the thick side but will give you good protection some people say it will cause unnecessary friction or sumat as it's a thicker oil but I reckon you'll be all good

Ok so I'm all good with the oil change. As for the 3", I understand but I bought it with the car so I'm also gonna install it. Plus it's louder and I like it that way. Maybe I'll go over 400 HP in the future so let's see. Also had a 3" on my first scooby and it sounded beautiful. Thanks for the suggestions.

Just be aware that for a turbo back system you don't necessarily need a remap but if you change any manifold or uppipe parts, you will need to remap the car. People still argue regarding a remap for the secondary cats.

Long run won't be good for car.
Was just funny his post stating what he said

I know what he's saying, turbo back system, i.e. Full decat WILL require a map as it will not run correct unless tweaked as the release of pressure you free will burn more fuel and and be all over the place. Not good for afr.
