Default 05 wrx p0028 fault code

Hi everybody, just recently bought a 05 impreza wrx blobeye model, car went grand for two weeks then I noticed hesitation at times, then I got up an abs light on the dash, on further inspection of that found the fault code was
p0028 intake valve control solenoid bank 2.
I erased the fault thinking maybe it was an old stored fault, fault returned following day, where exactly is that solenoid? I can seem to see it, also is there anyway of diagnosing it? Any help greatly appreciated

Subaru doesn't list that fault code for a UK MY05 wrx

MY05 DTC's.pdf

However it's an AVCS fault

B: DTC P0028 INTAKE VALVE CONTROL SOLENOID CIRCUIT RANGE/PER- FORMANCE (BANK 2) (Right Hand side facing forward)
DTC DETECTING CONDITION:
• Immediately at fault recognition
TROUBLE SYMPTOM:
•Improper idling

Possible Causes:
- Dirty engine oil
- Low engine oil level
- Faulty intake valve control solenoid
- Intake valve control solenoid harness is open or shorted
- Intake valve control solenoid circuit poor electrical connection

Valve/Solenoid is item 5 but on other head to that shown

Hence my first comment - so possibly a WRX STI or maybe an import.

However unless the database is totally wrong, they have been fitted to some RHD market 2.0L WRX cars from Blobeye onwards........

Inlet AVCS was also fitted to the Forester 2.0L XT from MY04

No it's just an ordinary irish wrx blobeye model, sti spec on it alright, I looked at it today, unable to see anything that resembles that part on the engine anywhere, I'm unsure if it has avcs, the fault I'm getting is definatly P0028. Rocker covers starting to leak now aswell, a right looking dose of a job.

Having established it's a WRX STI, then it will have inlet AVCS

You need to look closely at the cylinder heads (rear passenger side, front drivers side) to spot them

Driverside (uprated braided oil feed)

Passenger side housing

Problem sorted at long last! Plugged in two computers one being a snap on modus and the other being a Delphi ds150 can box and both showed the same fault, after doing my head in and checking everything on the car I discovered the car did not have avcs or any of those solenoid valves. Decided to go to a subaru main dealer and at the cost of €50 found the problem it was a rear left abs wheel sensor permanent fault, went home found an open circuit on the sensor and ordered the sensor. Job done. Puzzling to think a snap on modus or another computer was showing the fault not relevant to what the problem was. Was told by the dealer that Japanese cars sometimes lead you astray and show odd faults.
