The only reason to replace would be if the 12 year old pump was failing but otherwise would provide the capacity required

As you are upgrading your turbo and injectors and then hopefully getting it re-mapped. You would be better off upgrading the pump, as after 12 years it could be worn so not providing sufficient fuel at the top end. So you would be unable to get the best out of the mapping. Also sue to the increased fuel requirement this could increase the wear on the pump, resulting in fuel pump failure and if it happens at the wrong moment could result in the engine running lean with the consequences that can have. Also change the fuel filter, have you considered swapping the fuel pressure regulator. The list could go on and on,, LOL

the limit of the standard wrx pump is around 430hp so unless the car has a really big mileage, wear shouldn't be an issue, unless the OP wants to be extra cautious

The car has done 68500 miles and just had a new fuel filter im hopefully looking at between 330 -350hp when remapped ? So im assuming that the standard pump would be ok ?

I would stick with the original pump, it won't be a limiting factor and the money runs away quickly enough. With the WRX expect to be nearer 330 than 350 and you won't be disappointed, any more will be a bonus.

A top tier fuel pump is less than 100£, for that kind of money I would change it and go for a SRWD. (That's what i've done, and I'm almost stock power).

Id go for a HRC or Walbro pump for the sake of £80. Wouldn't have another SWRD pump though, they had major issues with reliability/quality in the group buy on here, i put mine in the bin.

They changed suppliers since, I also had issues with the first one I bought. Apparently now they use the same manufacturer as RCM.
But I totally agree with you, for 80£ I would change it if the intention is to run anything above stock power.
