Default Need a turbo? Which one?

So. I have a 2006 2.5 Hawkeye STI running uprated internals but the standard ihi vf43 n injectors.

A week ago I had to have the car recovered as I had smoke coming from scoop. Car drives and boosts fine.

Its either turbo seals or oil feed line but can't really tell. So both ideally need coming off and if it's oil feed I have an uprated line to fit but can't be sure what if any damage may've been caused to the turbo?

I'm considering just biting bullet and replacing the turbo.

would a tdo5 20g be a good swap as can get one cheap ish? If not which one? As i can't find a vf43. Unless someone has a link? I'm limited at present on budget so no massive upgrades on cards.

You just need to get a turbo that suits your engine have you done any work on the engine or its standard?

Have you diagnosed it as the turbo for sure?

Try
Mattybr5@MB Developments
Or
Scotty@scoobyspares
One of these will have a vf43 for sale I would think.

Not for sure

Has to come off the car to get diagnosed - that is £200.

Then rebuild is going to be few hundred

Then a dyno session to set up and maybe a remap

So thinking may as well swap it out if i can but don't know what turbo's are suitable for the sti spec d - which is running forged internals etc but standard turbo and injectors.
