Default 2011 Impreza engine runs for a bit then dies

Puzzling issue. Car starts cold and idles nicely and revs no problem then seems after warming up, the engine dies under a load. Sometimes I can get it to turn over but won't start, other times there is nothing when trying start. When nothing happens I do not hear the fuel pump turn on its like the ECM is just dead. I have computer connected to OBD port to monitor, the car throws no codes. Have double/triple check engine sensor connections. Very puzzled by this.

Dying fuel pump?
What mileage has the car done?

See you are in the USA, something simple like the fuel filler cap loose/missing ?

Ah sorry, overlooked that the OP mentioned fuel pump not making a priming noise when it doesn't work.

So my suggestions above are not likely.

Could this not be classic symptoms of corroded/fraying wires to the fuel pump connector, under the rear seat....?

Or is the 2011 car a different layout, in that regard?
