Tips and advice on fitting engine mounts.
I'm fitting group N engine and gearbox mounts next week,I've read it's not the easiest of jobs,so wondering if there are any tips&tricks to make the job a bit easier?
I'll be removing the exhaust manifold as I need to do some work on that anyway, don't think this helps with fitting the mounts anyway?
Cheers

Well that was fun!!!
Started on the LH side and after an hour I'd managed to round off the back bolt a little,no room to swing a spanner is a fecking understatement! Just as I was about to throw the towel in and wheel the engine crane out I gave it one more go,got the spanner on then the sweetest sound you ever want to hear....'crack' Ohh the joy lol.
That was the hard part over,,,so I thought!!!
Move on to the RH side....even less feckin room!!!
Anyway cut a long story short haha and I'll stop moaning...
Result
Tomorrow is the gearbox mount,I'm guessing I just support the box then remove the cradle, replace mount, done?
Then it's coilover time,,looks like the rain's on it's way so should add to the fun.

A good read I have a set of uprated mounts to fit to my bugeye, when you jacked up the engine did you have to disconnect anything other than the engine mount?

Well I couldn't of booked a worse week off work! Dam you British weather!!!
Anyway all mounts now fitted, will take for a test drive tomorrow but I can imagine everything will feel a lot tighter, the old mounts were in a bit of a state, especially the gearbox mount:
Now it's time to fit the coilovers
